RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

· Bill Ogilvie is a Managing Consultant for Ogilvie BCM and a recognised expert in Business Continuity.  Bill’s experience has been built over 17 years in the business continuity industry and covers most types of business.  During this time he has been involved in many projects and implemented continuity solutions for organisations in all sectors including telecommunications, insurance, utilities, manufacturing, retail, banking and local government.  He has worked in the Middle East and Africa for the last 4 years.

· Bill’s core responsibilities have included delivery of projects in a timely and cost effective manner, maintaining the forward load spreadsheet and assisting with the Quality Assurance of proposals.  Specific responsibilities have included:

             -            Acting as Stream Leader for Y2K consultancy for a global telecommunications company

             -            Delivering Business Continuity, Business Impact Analysis and Y2K consultancy to                                        international clients

             -            Assisting Sales with the Quality Assurance of proposals

             -            Project manager for many different projects

             -            Speaking at conferences and seminars to businesses in the UK, Europe and North America

             -            Stream Leader for Business Continuity Management within Adam Associates

· Specific project experience includes:

             -            Continuity Planning and BIA for the Asia Pacific regional operation of a global                                                 telecommunications company,  covering 4 key sites, from Tokyo to Sydney, Hong Kong to                           Singapore.  Planning workshops in Zurich, Frankfurt and Milan

             -            Developing Business Continuity Strategy and Plans for a major London property agent

             -            Business Continuity Project Manager for two major stockbroking firms

             -            Business Continuity Project Manager for a major building society

             -            Business Continuity Project Manager for a large distribution company

             -            Continuity Programme Management for a major power company including development and                           testing of the plans

             -            Developing BIA and Y2K Business Continuity Plans for two major UK insurance companies

 

             -            Continuity Planning and Business Risk Analysis for two UK based high street retailers

 

             -            Multi-site Continuity Management and BIA for a leading UK aircraft manufacturer
